• What changes do you want to make in your health and wellness?

• What challenges do you face in your health & wellness? Are you tired of diets that don't work?

• What goals do you have in your life that haven't been acheived due to your health limitations?

• Are you putting up with something in your life which is preventing you from optimal health and wellness?

• Do you have a dream that hasn't been fulfilled and once you have achieved "zen" in health & wellness you would then be able to pursue?

Frequently Asked Questions

How will wellness coaching help me lose weight when nothing else has?

Coaching serves to get the client to dig deep and figure out what stops them from acheiving and keeping their wellness goals alive and thriving. This is not a diet;  this is not someone else's plan that is imposed on everyone else because it worked for them.  In coaching the client must be dedicated to making the right decisions for their personality, health status and life-style and only then can they become successful - because it is their decision, discovery and delivery system.

How is coaching different from counseling and other professional relationships?

  • A counselor's focus is in the past, often addressing an issue from your past that is holding the patient from living in the present.
  • A trainer helps to develop or improve specific skills in order to accomplish a particular job or task.
  • A consultant uses expert knowledge and experience to solve a problem and to provide a solution.
  • A coach is a trained professional that partners with you to get results by charting an action plan based on your experience, strengths, values, wants and needs. A coach is a facilitator, guide, motivator, leader and confidant all rolled into one to help you grow and be accountable to yourself.

What is the typical length of a coaching relationship?

The length of the coaching relationship can vary greatly, depending on the client's focus and complexity of the situation. On average, the coaching relationship lasts three to six months, allowing time for the client to sufficiently explore areas of self discovery and for shifts in perceptions, attitudes and behaviours to occur.

How will the coaching sessions be conducted?

Unless otherwise arranged, the coaching session will be conducted over the phone with the coach contacting the client at an agreed upon time. The client will determine the focus of the call (agenda) and what he/she would like to accomplish. The frequency and duration of the calls will be defined in the Coaching Contractual Agreement. A typical arrangement may include three sessions per month and e-mail support.

"A coach is someone who tells you what you don't want to hear, who has you see what you don't want to see, so you can be who you have always known you could be."

- Tom Landry
